Stew is approx. 2 year old Terrier mix who weighs about 13 lbs at the moment. He is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He is learning to walk on the leash and sleep in the crate at night. He is good with people and a little wary of dogs upon first meeting, but settles down after a bit.
Stew was rescued from the strees of Baja, Mexico late May 2012. He seemed to be fending off some dogs in the trash cans and was called by a rescuer and loved the food she offered him...he followed her home and stayed outside of her home for a day until of course she allowed him to come in and accepted him into the rescue. Stew was boarded in a veterinary hospital were he had several ticks removed and given medical treatment.
He is a little stoic at first in different surroundings and preffers to be off leash and walk right next to you, because he was in the streets he feels a little out of his element inside homes but is still getting used to it and getting to enjoy it more every day. He behaves around dogs but at first he keeps his distance from them until he learns to trust them, as you can guess he had a rough time living in the streets and trying to survive fighting for resources with other stray dogs and being so tiny we are sure he lost in more than several occassions.
His physical look is wire haired, with docked tail and just very much a terrier mix and a handsome little guy! He is house trained and a very quiet dog not really a barker or maybe he hasn't found his voice yet but he is sucha a calm little guy we doubt he ever will be a barky guy, which is rare for a terrier.
