Oreo is hoping to meet his forever family soon!!! His foster mama would love to answer any questions you have about him. Here are some words from Oreo's Foster Mom: "I have fostered many fur-babies and Oreo is one of the best!! He is intelligent and learns very quickly. He has commands, "sit and stay," down pat! We are working on off and sitting for any doors to be opened, we started learning "down" last night and he is getting it quickly. He loves his furry foster brother and respects his feline foster sisters! He would make a lovely addition to any home. Oreo is shy, so he needs a family that will be patient while he recognizes that he is loved. But oh boy, once he opens up to you, the cuddles are amazing!! He crosses his little paws over you, so you can't get up. He is most shy with men; his foster Dad is working with him on that. Progress happens everyday but any men in his life need to understand that he doesn't mean anything by it. His foster Dad calls Oreo, his "couch buddy," because they play and cuddle on the couch. It is when men stand up that Oreo can feel a little shy again. Oreo is great on leash and in the car! I love him immensely and if you are lucky enough to spend time with this guy, you will fall in love too!!"

Oreo, his three siblings, and their mom were strays on the streets of Baja California. When our rescuer was able to take them from the street, it was no surprise that all five of the dogs were filthy, covered in fleas and had matted fur. After a good grooming, these pups and their momma are a fine looking bunch!

Oreo and his siblings are distemper survivors. He has some staining on his teeth from the disease, but does not present any other side effects of having survived distemper.

Oreo can be a bit shy at first, but loves affection and attention from people and is a very playful, happy, young dog with lots of energy to play with you! He is crate trained and also rides really well in the car--important for trips to fun places like the beach or dog parks!

After a long wait, dreaming of a forever home of his own, Oreo would LOVE to be the sweetest part of your life!
