Cat Adoption Center (CAC)
CAC (Clairemont)ATTENTION ALL KITTY LOVERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER!
We began with our first Cat Adoption Center at the PetSmart in Oceanside and it was very successful because it enabled us to have a place for more of our cats as well as great exposure for them. In addition, PetSmart gave us the chance to continue with this success in Clairemont later that year (2014) in the PetSmart at the corner of Balboa and Genesee. Today, we are only operating the CAC located at the PetSmart in Clairemont.
In order to help more animals, we need YOU! Volunteers are crucially needed and the success of this new venture depends upon a solid group of adoption center volunteers; we are calling upon you to help. We must have volunteers committed to volunteering one 2 hour shift on a weekly basis to help maintain the kennels, encourage exercise, and play with the cats...a great way to get your kitty fix!
The hours available to volunteer are usually any during which the store is open between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm (although weekend hours differ a bit). This makes it easy to work around schedules. We are hoping for at least 14 volunteers to staff the center in order to have two 2 hour shifts each day during the 7 day week.
With a 2 hour shift (or more if you are interested), this is an excellent opportunity for some serious kitty cuddling: as well as non work hours, those of you who are students or working from home, and those who are unable to have a kitty of your own may also have the opportunity to help a great cause and interact on a weekly basis.
