Meet Honey!

Honey also known as Miel is a sweetie rescued from Ensenada, Mexico when she was found sitting in the middle of the street. Her rescuer encountered her while driving to work and they looked at her, she looked at them without moving out of the way for a couple seconds until someone had her move. Her rescuers had thought about her all morning and decided to circle back after work to check on her. They did encounter in the alleyway sitting on an old dumpt sofa and this time where able to see her emanciated condition, they knew they had to help her and offered her food which they used for her to follow them into their car and was taken to the vet clinic for help. That is Honey's start to a new life. This poor girl only weight 25 pounds, had multiple litters in her life and was likely in the streets for a long time sadly not thriving. Her rescuers are TNR volunteers (strictly help sterilize community cats and not really foster/rescue dogs but this was different) so Honey hit the jack pot for these awesome humans to lend her a paw.

A little about Miel (honey):
She is a total sweetheart, just a love bug who adores humans and their companionship.
Her foster report she is pleasure to care for but are hopeful they can find her a forever family as their home is not really equiped for dogs, they work full time and spend their time not working TNR cats which is a full time hobby so for them helping/caring for cats its easier than having a youdn doggo depending on them for excercise and quality time. They report Honey is well, sweet as honey and hence her name. She is good wtih dogs as long as they are not alpha dogs and don't try to dominate her. She is also great around cats. Their foster parents aka her rescuers will be present at the upcoming adoption event so we hope you stop by to meet her and talk to them about her too!

This friendly and social girl is available to adopt and currently fostered in Ensenada,Mexico with her original rescuer as her foster mom. If you'd like to adopt or foster to adopt trial this sweetheart please submit an application online for review and a volunteer will contact you to schedule a call. Once we have an approved adopter or foster we can bring her over to San Diego to meet you.

If she has not been adopted or found a foster by our next dog adoption event then she will attend and you can drive down to meet her without submitting an application first. If you meet her and would like to move forward to adopt or foster her then we will request you submit an application at that time. Meet Honey and some of our other dogs at the Mega Dog Adoption Event Saturday 6/15/24 from 11am to 3pm at the Grossmont center in la mesa (you can find more information on our event calendar) submit applications online at ARWOB.org
