Aggie

Meet Aggie!

As of 1.17.24 this gorgeous doggo is available for adoption. Aggie is a social and loving shepherd with the intelligence of a GSD or Belgian malinois but of course we haven't done a DNA test. What we do know is this sweet thing has been under our care for months and have gotten to know her very well.

Aggie is a perfect mid 30 pound shepherd mix rescued off the street of Baja and currently fostered at casa de ARWOB where she shares the home with other arwob rescue dogs and cats. Aggie is crate, house and potty trained. She enjoys car rides and LOVES all dog toys especially fetching ball. She is not only amazing at bringing the ball but also dropping it not having to play keep away. She aims to please humans and although she's never lived with children she has spent a lot of time cuddling and enjoying being petted by kids she meets at events and volunteers children. Whoever chooses to adopt Aggie will be scoring big time with such an amazing dog. Being a smart and active breed we highly recommend and encourage her adopters to sign up for basic dog training.

Aggie moves with the waves. A home with a yard and dogs is great but we believe with the right applicant she would also do well as an only dog in a apartment setting. She would be a good dog park dog, yet , she would also be content with an adopter who provides her with mental stimulation at home with toys and puzzles as long as she has her toys and someone can play a good game of tug of war or fetch she is a happy pup! like all dogs daily or occasional walks As a huge bonus!

we love Aggie and hope to find a great Hooman who would enjoy and love a dog like this sweetheart.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 = not great vs 5= fantastic)
Dogs:4 (she gets along with some dogs personalities faster than others and has never had aggression irrespective of sex/breed/age of the dogs)
Cats: 3 (She has a couple of cat friends Especially those who seek and enjoy dog companionsh, If you have shy kitties who run or hide they may not be best matched)
Children: 4 (we don't give her a 5 because she's never lived with them)
Vocalization: 4 (she rarely barks unless she needs to alert about something)
Separation anxiety: 5 (never exhibited anxiety)
Energy level: 3 (she can go for a 3-5 mile hike but she will be OUT for the rest of the day. she loves to play w her toys and interact with humans or dogs playing tug of war or keep away with a toy for dogs to chase her or fetch. She likes to run and rump around but she is content just chilling and resting too)

if you'd like to solely foster Aggie with NO interest in adopting, please submit our dog foster application online. If you'd like to adopt or foster with an intent to adopt, please submit an adoption application. We could schedule meet and greets typically within 48hrs in the 92111 zip code. OR you can also attend adoption events or social events like the monthly pack hikes to spend some time with her without the need to submit an aplication online before meeting her.
