Alright, let's get something clear. Wednesday is actually a BOY. Yes, ARWOB goofed up when we first accepted this poor baby who was under one pound back on 10/1/25 when he arrived along with another kitty who is an orange tabby whom we named Pugsley. Now, the two where rescued in separate situations but transported to us the same day so we paired them up and have been friends since then. They both come to us from Tijuana rescue and are currently fostered at casa de ARWOB along with other feline foster siblings and canines too!
Wednesday's story begins when his mama and rest of siblings sadly were run over by cars in a busy street. The only reason this boy survived is he had rolled over to the side. When the bodies where being removed they noticed this little fella trying to crawl and immediately contacted a local rescuer who took him in to bottle feed. He was only a couple of weeks old. A couple of weeks later they contacted ARWOB for assistance with a little female kitten. We said sure. We actually checked her sex and ALSO thought it was a female kitty and hence the duo Pugsley and Wednesday since it was October. THEN came the day when they finally reached age and weight to be sterilized in November (yes a WHOLE month passes before we even realized the error of our ways!) by then it was too late to change his name for his medical record and thought his family can do the honors. Now we know why HE acts like a boy since we thought this little girl is a huge tom boy ha ha (sorry wednesday!)
Wednesday really only comes to "kitten" just like the rest of the foster kitties so he doesn't really care about the goofup and I am sure forgives us.
Wednesday is amazing with cats and all cats adore him. He has great litter manners even as a very young kitten, is healthy strong and now ready for a family of his own. We do recommend a family with NO kids as he is not the most cuddly kitten, he does NOT like to be hugged or picked up or carried around and we are working on that which means sneak attack bear hugs, often picking him up and kissing his sweet face! He hates and loves it because he secretly follows your every move and LOVES to supervise you scooping the litter box while hitching a ride on your shoe from room to room. He only purrs on rare occassions and especially when you take him to bed and have a cuddle session. We think as a single cat at this young age will enforce he becomes more human loving OR adopt a friend like his besty Pugsley who purrs just by looking at him so those 2 compliment each other. Either way, we know Wednesday will improve once adopted so a human socializes him more one on one human/feline time.
Wednesday is a healthy, neutered and felv/fiv negative kitten who seems to have short to medium coat and although fostered around dogs he is pretty weary of them so a home with well behaved safe and calm dogs around cats would be best.
To adopt this cutie please submit applications online at ARWOB.org we do not hold cat adoption events and only do meets at their foster homes for this reason we need to process adoption applications before scheduling a meet. Do know once we receive an application we will email or text you to schedule a call so we can finish processing your application and talk about the process in order to hopefully move fwd to schedule a meet. Any cat adoption application can be applied to any of our cats.
