We received a lovely update about Coco (fka Athena) and Pancho. They were adopted together in July 2021. Here is what their adoptive mom has to say:
"The kittens are doing great! They are very loving and playful. They love to be around us and are even becoming more willing to play with our scotty dog. They are growing like crazy and generally doing very well health wise. I have to say, the family that fostered them did an amazing job of socializing them. They have been comfortable with the house, us, and handling since arriving. Because we and the kittens have no connection to Greece except for our love of Greek food, we changed Ahtena's name to Coco. That seemed to go better with her history."
We received a sweet update about Chou Chou (fka Aphrodite), who was adopted in June 2020. Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:
"Chou Chou (Aphrodite) is doing great! When we first saw her on ARWOB she was described as shy and reserved, but it didn't take us long to realize that she was anything but that description. She filled our house with big meows and always demanded attention and play. From a tiny kitten, she has grown into a fluffy queen who knows what she wants and isn't shy to voice her opinions. She's tough and is able to keep up with her new older brother while at the same time keeping us on our toes! It feels as if she has fully filled the void that our previous cat has left and with her large presence in our home, it's hard to imagine a life without her!"
We received a "pupdate" about Astra (fka Aly), who was adopted from ARWOB in June 2021. Here is what her adoptive dad has to say about her progress:
"Astra (her new name) is doing great, her scar is 98% healed and she's 98% housebroken. She chews on everything, but the biggest issue is walking her on a leash. Whether it was no training or whoever her earlier let her drag him/her around, it's been a big problem. It's getting slightly better but at an incredibly slow and frustrating process. Many times she just refuses to move, period. Other than that she's been awesome. She loves to play with all dogs big and small and has to meet everyone we pass while walking and she goes nuts over little kids. Yesterday while walking her on the Martin Luther King Promenade downtown, she was playing with no less than 15 dogs. I still haven't taken her off the leash though. We couldn't be happier with Astra. Take care and thanks for all the work you gals/guys do at your rescue."
We received a spectacular "pupdate" about Nyx (fka Presley), who was adopted in June 2020, as well as another ARWOB alum named Tully (fka Acacia), who was adopted from us in July 2017. Their adoptive mom told us that Nyx and Tully are best friends. We really love repeat adopters!
We received an awesome "pupdate" about Peri-peri (fka Amenadiel), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020. Here is what his family has to say about him:
"I have attached a few photos of Amenadiel--now Peri (full name Peri-peri after the South African hot sauce). We celebrated his 1st birthday (approx) in January (there are before and after photos of his birthday alien toy) and he finished beginner training class and one of all of us at the beach. He grew a lot taller and more than doubled in weight. He is still super cute. Our older dog (almost 16!) died recently and we were so grateful for the levity and joy that Peri provides. We love him!"
