We received a wonderful update about Westley (fka Butter Scotch) and Fezzik (fka Butter Pecan). They were adopted together as a pair in February 2022. Here is what their adoptive mom has to say:
"My boys are doing great. Butter Scotch is now Westley and Butter Pecan is now Fezzik. They are getting huge!"
Happy 13th birthday to Beast!! Today’s update is special for a few reasons. Beast and his sibling Bernie were two kittens that had been adopted from ARWOB back in October 2009. Sadly, they were relinquished back to ARWOB seven years later in November 2016. Apparently their previous family had gotten a dog that was not cat friendly, so they relinquished these two senior brothers. When they came back to ARWOB, we discovered they both had serious dental disease, which we immediately had them treated for. One of the brothers also had serious respiratory problems, but thankfully with constant care, he survived the crisis.
The senior brothers were eventually fostered together by a lovely volunteer, who fell in love with them both and decided to adopt them together as a pair in February 2017. Although Bernie has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Beast is enjoying life with his two other feline brothers Matthew and Gunnar, who are also ARWOB alumni. They came to live with Beast and his loving mom in October of 2020. Beast may be 13 years old, but he is happy, healthy, and very youthful. He gets along very well with Matthew and Gunnar, which provides Beast with constant feline companionship in his loving home! All we can say is that sometimes there is a happy ending!
We received a nice "pupdate" about Blue, who was adopted in November 2021. Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:
"We are so happy to have Blue as part of our family. She was skittish the first week. Then realize this is her new home. She is such a good girl. We are so happy, thank you!"
Loki (fka Banshee) is really living the life with her new family. Check out this adorable photo her dad just sent us!
Basha was adopted from ARWOB in August 2021. We received a nice "pupdate" about her from her adoptive dad:
"Basha is doing well. Overall, she is adorable! She does have a bit of a barking problem (nervous around other dogs/strangers), and her puppy nipping continues, although it’s getting better, but other than that she is perfect! I am planning to take her to puppy socialization classes and the dog park now that she is fully vaccinated and hopefully she will gain more confidence."
