Pecan

Pecan was adopted in November 2022 and he is now living his best life!  He had a rough start with his mama and his 3 siblings, but thankfully ARWOB was able to pull them from the Devore shelter.  The family had been "red listed" for euthanasia, due to the lack of space. Thankfully an ARWOB volunteer heard about their dire situation and drove all the way to Devore (2 hours one way) to exit the family and bring them into our care (a total of 20 kitties were exited from Devore that day by our amazing volunteer).  Now Pecan is living with his new adoptive mom and he is enjoying all the love he deserves!  We couldn't be happier about this "purrfect" update from his mom:

"He is doing great! He eats well and loves running around and playing with all his toys. He really likes looking out the window and see what’s going on outside. He’s a cuddle bug and enjoys having play dates with my parents cats. Overall, I’d say he’s doing really well and seems happy. I’m really happy I adopted him."

Pinta

Brandi (fka Pinta) was adopted in December 2021.  Her adoptive dad recently sent us this wonderful "pupdate" about her.  She is enjoying her life with her dad and her canine sibling Wiley.  We are over the moon to hear how well she is doing!

"Pinta, whose name is now Brandi is the happiest of girls. I couldn’t be more stoked on how amazing she is and well behaved. The night I brought her home she was quiet as a mouse the whole car ride (3 hours with some bathroom stops). When we arrived at the house you could sense a ray of joy filled her as she jumped on the couch and made herself right at home. She played all night and slept with me and Wiley in bed. Our daily activities our morning hikes and the occasional dog park visit. We live in the mountains and she loves all the birds and lizards. Wiley and her come with me to work almost everyday and are always on the best behavior keeping me company. Wiley (my first rescue) and her have become inseparable and are two peas in a pod. They snuggle every night and keep each other company everyday. The cutest thing was Wiley had a vet appointment a few months back and she cried a little bit in the truck when Wiley was gone for 30 mins. Her separation anxiety is non existent but when at the vet they know where they are LOL. She is so smart. She is still crated when I leave the house and the dogs are alone but that is because I do that with all dogs until they are around 2 years old. She spends some times alone outside the crate and is almost ready to graduate! She is almost fully grown I would say. She is between 38-40 lbs and is always ready for food time! Never a beggar tho. I can tell how happy she is and enjoys her life with us. I couldn’t imagine her being anywhere else, and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. Thank you for the trust and bringing her into our lives."

Percy

Percy was adopted into a loving home in May 2016.  In June of 2022, his new feline sister Cashew joined this loving household.  We just LOVE return adopters!!  They are best friends and their adoptive mom has told us she is so happy that Percy has a friend.  This really makes our day!

Pasta

Pasta found her forever home in June 2022.  Her adoptive mom provided this cute update about her.  Apparently she has TWO doggie BFFs and we couldn't be more delighted!

"She is doing wonderfully! She has two doggie best friends and has the best time. Pasta takes over the dog bed when she feels like it."

Papaya

Papaya and Mango were adopted as a pair in May 2022.  We couldn't be happier for them!  They even have a kitty "big sister" in the house that adores them both. Here is what their adoptive mom has to say:

"Papaya and Mango are very sweet. As you can see from the pictures, we couldn't separate them because they love each other so much. We kept the kittens in my daughter's room for about a week or so when they arrived. After we introduced them, our one year old kitty fell in love with them. She is particularly fond of Mango, but loves Papaya too. The babies are the sweetest and purr constantly. They are growing a lot. Mango has doubled his weight (he's a little larger than his sister, but not overweight). Papaya likes to kiss our faces, while Mango lets us hold him and sits with his paws over our shoulders. Mango brings his favorite toy into my bed in the mornings. They are super curious so we have to be even more on our toes. Luckily, we already had safety netting on the stair bannister and always keep the lids on the toilets closed. It's amazing how quickly they adapted to the routine of our household. We love them."
