Felipe was adopted in January 2021 and we received this great progress report from his new adoptive family:
"Felipe, is doing great and growing fast! He has integrated well in the family, and is mellowing out a bit. Initially he was scratching quite a bit but since he had his flea/tick dose it appeared to be just itchy puppy skin. We gave him a moisturizing bath and have been adding coconut oil to his food and his itching has gone away almost entirely and skin / coat is so soft. We believe this condition added to his anxiety/irritability. The family (including Felipe) had our first session with Randy Davis (behavorialist) today and he was very pleased and noted no behavioral (just puppy) issues and taught us how to work with the 'mouthy' behavior and respect food/space. He tried to get him to act irritated but was unsuccessful, which he viewed as a very good sign. He indicated that he would love to work with Felipe and noted he was very bright. We will be meeting with him again in 3 weeks."
Sage was adopted in January 2021 and her adoptive mom sent us this nice update about her. She is getting to know her new feline buddy Bleu.
"Sage is doing great. She is getting more and more comfy everyday. Her and Bleu are still figuring each other's boundaries out, but they are becoming good pals, taking naps close by, but not snuggled up. Lol... We just love her and so glad that we have her. Oh... she has quite the appetite that one!"
We received a wonderful update about Oreo (fka Wells), who was adopted in January 2021. He is settling in to his new friendship with his feline sister Kali. Here is what his new family has to say about him:
"Day 9 and Oreo (aka Wells) is the King of the House sharing with the Queen - Kali. Sure there was initial hissing, growling, and chasing...He loves her toys. He comes right to us, is rolling over on his back for belly rubs. We are so grateful for all you did for him."
We received this fabulous update about Shuri, who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020. She is living a wonderful life with her new family after being with ARWOB for just over 2 years. We could never understand why she was overlooked for so long, but we think she was waiting for this special family to come along. Here is what her mom has to say:
"She is the greatest gift we could have received. She sounds pretty similar as to how I described her back in July being that she is SO VOCAL and has maintained her sass! She loves talking to my husband and I when we get home from work, or even a 5 minute walk. She sleeps with us and is very into cuddles at night. She loves her window spots still and is getting a cat hammock this weekend so she can sunbathe for even longer (and higher) than in her normal spot on the carpet. She has brought us so much joy and is always brought up in conversation. She has exceeded all expectations we had for our first pet as she has very much stolen both of our hearts. Here's some more recent photos of "Shur Burr!"
We received a wonderful "pupdate" for Sally (fka Lenna), who was adopted from ARWOB in December 2015. Here is what Sally's mom has to say about her: "I adopted my dog through you almost 5 years ago and she's the light of my life."
