Paxton (fka Pinky) was adopted in December 2023. His adoptive mom sent us a fantastic "pupdate" about this little guy, including his DNA results which are quite surprising! Check out what she has to say:
"Thank you for reaching out to me! I changed Pinky’s name to Paxton and he is doing absolutely great. I was not sure if he needed professional dog training since he started to learn some simple commands like “Sit” and “Come” from me but I will most likely reach out to the person my daughter recommended to discuss the matter in the next couple of days. He and my cat Zen are pretty much always on my lap when I am sitting on the couch. While most people think he is Jack Russel mix (myself included), there was no trace of it. He is a mixture of 13 dog breeds!! Thank you very much again for reaching out to me."
Frannie was adopted in December 2023. Her adoptive mom share this nice "pupdate" with us. Here is what she has to say about this adorable girl:
"Frannie is doing great! She is 19 pounds now and very healthy. I potty trained her and she goes out by herself to go potty with the doggy door or will go if I direct her to. She has also somewhat learned how to sit and loves to play fetch. She has become my little shadow and is loving life. She is extremely friendly and has come out of her shell and must say hi to everyone she meets and give them kisses and nibbles. She's extremely toy motivated as well and very spoiled. Very glad I got to have the opportunity to meet her and adopt her."
Fenris (fka Trinity) was adopted in December 2023. We received the sweetest "pupdate" from her adoptive mom:
"Trinity is doing amazing! We decided to call her Fenris (Fen for short) & we absolutely love her. She’s taken to training & developing a schedule quickly & really well. Shes grown a little bit & had some weight to put on so now she’s just under 40lbs. She’s good with everyone- humans of all ages, dogs, & even squirrels! Her favorite thing to do on walks is sit & watch squirrels & birds whenever she finds them. She recently started & is in love with doggie daycare. She goes once or twice a week for a few hours to play with her friends. We found a trainer through them & we actually start this weekend to shore up the rest of the things we’d like to work on (like listening- that’s a tough one sometimes lol). She has been the best addition to our family & we are so thankful to have found ARWOB & her. It’s been a perfect fit. She is smart, friendly, & super cuddly. She’s brought so much joy to our home. She goes with us everywhere. My favorite part of the day, & I think hers too, is our long walks. We usually do at least a mile & she loves going through Balboa Park nearby or the beach. Thank you & ARWOB for bringing her into our lives."
McIntosh was adopted in December 2023. His adoptive mom recently shared his progress with us. She told us that she has been working with a trainer, which we know will help Mac be the best he can be. She has told us he is maturing without losing any of his spunk and has filled out quite a bit. They are both adapting to every moment. She even shared his DNA profile and he has quite the mix, including American Pit Bull Terrier (38%), Supermutt (35.6%), German Shepherd (5.4%), Pug (9.1%), and Belgian Malinois (7.9%).
Asher (fka Archer) was adopted in December 2023. He is living his best life with his feline and canine siblings! Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"Thank you for reaching out! Archer has been renamed to Asher (meaning happiness) and he is truly living up to that name! He is a talkative, playful, and is a very easy going little kitty! He purrs immediately when you pet him and is settling in well with the other fur babies. Asher and our other cat, Tux, have a fun time playing, but Tux is still adjusting to having a brother at times. Our dog, Boone, and Asher are getting along well too!"
