Happy new year! Kelsey and I wanted to send you an update on our two cat adoptions from the end of August. One was Sideburns, and the other was Nala. They are doing GREAT!! Sideburns has lost a couple pounds since we started weighing him. About a month after we adopted him he was 16 lbs, and now he is 14 lbs. He looks really healthy! We really got rid of his extra chub. And he runs around so much more now that is at a healthier weight. Though, no worries, his purr motor still revs up quite often, especially for food. And Nala has grown up a lot! She is 7 months now and a little over 6 lbs. She was 3.5 when she showed up. She is just full of so much energy, and goes on her own solo rampages often. When we first met her, she was hiding out in the play room at the Clairemont Petsmart when we were meeting Sideburns. She jumped out and surprised us with what is her signature 'play cry'. She continues to make the same noises 4.5 months later! She also squeaks in a way very similar to a mountain pika, so that's her new name. They get along great together! Though they are not a pair that always sleeps together. They do occasionally. And the kitten is happier to be bigger as the big guy was a little rough at playing at first (rough, but not aggressive). Sometimes the kitten bothers him too much but he needs to be chased around a little to lose some of those extra pounds he came with for free when we adopted him! :) Here are a few pictures from the last few months: Cheers! Dear Alondra & ARWOB Volunteers, Just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank you for taking such good care of Carmelita and bringing her to the Clairemont Petsmart, where we met her. She has brought so many smiles, snuggles, and laughs to our household. Since being adopted, she now goes by the name Princess Anna, and lives up to every aspect of the name and âFrozenâ reference. She is an only fur baby at the moment, but gets lots of attention from us (we work from home) and her Aunt that lives with us. She has thoroughly enjoyed almost all of her âfirstâ holidays, Christmas was her absolute favorite, Thanksgiving was a bit of torture because she smelled the turkey and all the good food, but the cat food turkey food that we provided for her wasn't as appealing as the smell coming from the oven. She has grown into a healthy cat who loves people, playdates with her two kitty cousins and posing for photos. we hope you enjoy some of the pictures we have attached. Thank you for all that you do, and for saving our little Princess. <3 Kirsten & Zach
Little Sophie Rose (FKA Rose) is all grown up with her own little sister to watch over! We think she's doing a great job!
