Here's what Ollie's new owner's say about Ollie: "Ollie is doing great. I attached a picture from this weekend while we had him in our front driveway while we were working out there in the yard. Even though he doesn't know basic commands (is learning some though) he is pretty well behaved most of the time. We have him leash walking really well and he only occassionally will bark at someone who walks by if they startle him but he does that less and less now as well. Our cat, Eddie, is still learning to get used to him. He's afraid of everything so the first time Ollie met him Eddie screamed at him and took off running. So Ollie thought it was a game and went on "the hunt" every time he smelled him around. Eddie is getting braver now and Ollie calmer so hopefully within a week they will be sitting side by side comfortably. I have been looking at obedience training and plan to get him signed up for one by the weekend. "
The Gottfried family reports: " We LOVE 'Twix'! and are very happy we made the decision of having another addition to the family. Our teenager kitty 'Zack' has really enjoyed having her around to chase and play with since our older girl Sara could do without the playing around. It took Twix a couple of weeks to get adjusted to our 2 happy yellow labs but now they are all great friends! Our friends ask us if she is a pure breed because of her rare chocolate color and we are proud to say she was adopted from a rescue! Thank you for saving her."
We have heard from Gracie's parents and here's what they have to report: "We would like to let you know that Gracie is in perfect health condition. She plays with everything, fetch her preferred toy, and she is a perfect alarm clock in the morning . Gracie is doing great-very healthy and active! I would love to get a little friend for Gracie but Alessio prefers not-also the landlord might not like that...so for now just one :-)
Little Dodger walking his stuffed hedgehog. He looks loads happy in his new home. His new parents report that they are very thankful to have had adopted this guy. Congratulations!
Lady was one of our rescues back in 2008 when our group was still relatively new. We heard from Lady recently and would like to share what her forever family has to report about her: "We just wanted to touch bases with you and let you know how well Lady is doing. She is awesome and has become such a treat to our family. We reached another milestone with her last weekend. We decided to go take her for a walk down at the beach and so off in the car we went to Mission Bay. She had so much fun and never barked at anyone. She was so busy smelling all the new territory and just loved it. We were so proud of her. She is very protective of all of, but especially of Lisa. She will let a NEW face to her know that she is in charge at first and then she lets them pet her. What a blessing she is to us. Thank you so much for doing what you did for her and us. We appreciate it. Here is a picture of her taking a rest in one of her favorite places. :) Take care."
