Marlie was adopted in December 2021 and her adoptive mom sent us this sweet "pupdate" about her:
"She is doing great and loving her dog brother Norman. They are inseparable! She is already so confident in our home and is especially loving cuddling in bed with us at night. We met her first foster mom at the adoption event and found out she lives down the street from us. Please feel free to pass along my contact information to her, we are happy to send her updates on Marlie as much as she wants. We know how special the relationship is with a foster parent. Thank you for all that you do and for rescuing Marlie. Our family feels complete with her in it."
Hazel (fka Zion) is already best friends with her feline sister Ruthie. Hazel was adopted in December 2021 and here is a family photo they took for Christmas!

Gizmo (fka Sushi) was adopted in November 2021. Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"Sushi (now Gizmo) is doing great. He has discovered the joys of canned food and romping around with his adopted sister Jackie. It’s been a little delayed due to COVID, but he’s got his first checkup scheduled for early next month. He’s an absolute sweetheart who loves to cuddle and Matt and I are so glad he’s joined our family!"
We received an update about Mango, who was adopted in November 2021. Here is what his adoptive mom has to report:
"Mango is doing well! He is super cuddly, and quite the chatterbox. He loves to play with feather toys. He is also my computer buddy, and curls up in front of (or on) the keyboard and will lay his head on my arm. He and my other cat are still separate - Mango is super interested in her, but she is not a fan of him. They are slowly being allowed in the same room (with supervision). I’ve reduced their interactions to behind a baby gate. A double stacked baby gate, because I learned that Mango can jump six feet in the air. I had to put cardboard between the double stacked baby gate and the top of the door!! He is quite the smart kitty. I love him very much! It’ll take some time for both cats to coexist peacefully but it’s worth it. Mango is a little love bug, and just wants to play and cuddle."
We received this spectacular "pupdate" about Maya (fka Ivy) who was adopted in November 2021. She had been with ARWOB for quite some time and now we know she was just waiting for her perfect family to find her! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:
"Ivy (renamed Maya because it caused confusion when calling our other dog, Riley) has been doing amazing! She took to training super well; she is sooo smart. She is amazing on leash now and her and I take walks together most nights after work. She truly is the missing puzzle piece for our family of pets. Her and Riley (our larger dog) interact well, play a ton and groom one another/lay on each other. She is also very respectful of our older, smaller dog Molly. Maya is amazing with people, and will cuddle with strangers to get pets. All of our friends adore her and she was the star of our halloween party. Being a shepherd mix, she often makes funny sounds, like she's talking, and it cracks us up. We can't imagine life without her! She was fully grown and not underweight when we got her, so I would say she is about the same size. We do have her on pretty nutritional food (Acana grain-free) so she is healthy."
