We received another "pupdate" about one of the ARWOB alumni. Bob was adopted in May of last year (2020) and here is what his adoptive dad had to say:
"Bob is doing just fine. He is happy healthy and enjoying his new home. He is very energetic, loves running free at dog beach and playing with other Dawgs. He's 45 lbs and still wants to wander the street looking for food. Been working with him on healing and come especially when distracted when playing with other Dawgs."
We received this wonderful "pupdate" about Melon, who was adopted in April 2021. Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"Melon seems to be settling in great. He absolutely loves dogs and gets along really well with all that he’s met at my work. He goes to work with me twice a week and mainly socializes but receives some basic command training and works on building confidence through agility and enrichment activities. He’s much more comfortable meeting new people with other dogs around so it’s been the perfect environment for him to meet new humans and learn that it usually means getting a treat! He hasn’t grown much more since I’ve got him, I’m guessing he’ll be around the 60 range but I’m still prepared for a growth spurt lol. He gets along great with my roommates’ dogs and my cat. My main focus right now is still building a strong bond and exposure with walks so he can be more desensitized to sudden distractions like skateboarders and gardening equipment because he can get a bit spooked."
Today's alumni update is extremely special, because TJ the kitty had such a rough start in life. She is a "tripawd" girl with just one eye, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying the wonderful family who adopted her and she is living her life to the full! She was adopted a year ago in May 2020 and here is what her adoptive mom has to say about her:
"Thank you for reaching out to us about TJ. She is doing great and we are so happy that we found her! She gets along with our other cat (Chris) and our dog (Layla) very well. She was a bit nervous about food for the first couple of months so we had to feed her separately, but now she is calm and eats with everyone. She is very sweet and cuddly and sleeps with us on the bed each night. She also likes to spend her days on my desk as I'm working. Her missing limb and eye do not stop her from playing like a maniac - our other cat Chris has to work hard to keep up! Overall she is very energetic and outgoing."
We received a nice "pupdate" about Vanna (fka Vanilla), who was adopted a year ago in May 2020. Here is what her adoptive Dad has to say about her:
"Vanna (changed her name) is doing great and is a wonderful dog and fur baby. Vanna is about the same size - still about 20 pounds and well behaved and has been a great addition."
Nina's adoptive Dad shared these adorable photos and a nice update. Nina was adopted in March 2021. "She is fantastic and tons of fun. She became friends with both our other cats real quick."
