This is a community dog walk AND dog party and if you are stopping by for the walk with your personal dogs please make sure to register online. However, if you are looking to adopt and have no dog to join you on the walk, register and request to walk one of our rescue dogs who would LOVE to join you on your walk! a Jolla Loves Pets Foundation wants to promote creating more memorable moments for our local pet owners and their fur-babies. But we also want to use our biggest strength – our numbers – to help those who help animals. And we also want to support our community.

ARWOB is excited to partner with Spirit Yoga Studios in Pacific Beach where we take a couple of our younger rescues to attend 2 different Puppy yoga classes where they are able to interact with attendees while moving/playing around and cuddling up to the yogis attending class. The sessions are 45min long and if you'd like to meet some of our young attendees you are welcome to sign up and register for a class with Spirit Yoga. We do have puppy interaction times right before the first class starts at noon and right after the last class around 2:30pm If you are looking to meet one of the pups attending but not attending class, please submit a dog adoption application online for review and we can schedule a meet and greet before/after classes. Please DO NOT interrupt puppy yoga classes times when class is in session. Thank you!

Pack hike/ meet & greet event

Come meet our dogs/puppies available for adoption and/or foster! This event is an easy/ chilled event where ARWOB volunteers will meet up to walk some of the ARWOB dogs (you can see exactly who is attending by clicking the attendance list below) and we would love it if you attend to just MEET the dogs. No pressure of taking anyone home that day. If you like someone and want to adopt or foster you Can go home and file the application online, will call you to follow up and if all goes well we schedule a day/time to meet again and finalize the adoption then! The pack will meet at 8:30am to get the dogs and humans to setter. The hike/walk will start promptly at 9am and they will be back in the parking lot at 10am. We encourage anyone who wants to volunteer to help walk a dog to contact us (we still need couple handlers) If you are interested in a dog(s) to adopt or foster: You can sign up to volunteer to be a handler and join the walk/hike to spend whole hour with the dog (of course you can walk/meet anyone and/or switch doggos to get a feeling For them) If you are looking to meet the dogs to possibly adopt or foster but NOT able to join the hike/walk: NO PROBLEM !! You just need to be at the Parking lot at either: 8:30am before they start the walk OR 10am when they are back from The pack hike/walk We will have some tired volunteers who will like to leave at 11am so please, if you are attending this meet and greet be there no later than 10:30am to give you plenty time to meet the dog(s) before we leave. The meet up? It’s easy! Plenty of easy parking. Excellent place to meet and greet in flat surface with plenty of space and easy to find us. Look for the trucks with dog crates in the back OR the group of humans holding on to very excited doggos on leash with smiles on their face for a day out :) So, come on down and bring the family! For an easy meet and greet and get to know the doggos. Notes: You do NOT need to submit applications ahead of time. Just come on down as not expecting anyone to go home that day. IF you’d like to adopt or foster a dog that day you COULD but highly recommend you submit an application before Friday night so we can get in touch via text or email. If you are planning to swing by to either join the pack to walk a dog OR stop by to just meet a dog. Please, text or email us a quick note so we know. Include your name and let us know if planning on helping and volunteering to walk a dog OR if you are stopping by to meet one of the doggos, and approx time. Easy peasy event. Pack hike or walks are just a day where casa de ARWOB doggies get to have an outting and exercise/socialize and be on leash while doing so. Pack hike days primary focus is on a easy peasy day that goes to the dogs so they can Just enjoy a day of fun! Second purpose so anyone who has been “eye balling” one of our doggos can just stop by and meet them before hike starts (830-9am) or after the hike ends (typically 10-10:30am) OR if you’d like to get your steps IN for the day volunteer and be a handler during the pack hike/walk . It’s an excellent way to spend some one on one time with the dog you are interested in adopting or fostering and in the same way meet them rest of the dogs, maybe the dog you’ve been eye balling is not the best for you and you like a different doggo while you meet them. You don’t need to apply to adopt before this event since it’s NOT a day you Can go home with a dog you can just meet them And go home and submit an application if you’d like to move fwd. It’s also a great day to schedule meet and greets with potential adopters/fosters who file applications ahead of time and go through the process to be approved and then meet up early Saturday morning to meet and possibly go home with their new foster or adoptee …. Monthly ARWOB Pack hike

Join us! Meet up location = Mission trails visitor CTR loop overflow lot (corner of Mission Gorge road & Jackson drive) ARWOB holds monthly pack hikes for our available rescue dogs who are searching for: Adopters, fosters or foster to adopt families. Please, RSVP if you want to VOLUNTEER as a handler and join the pack hike. You can RSVP by commenting on FB Event page for this hike or email us animalrescuers@icloud.com If you are planning on stopping by to ONLY meet the ARWOB dogs, please, check the animal attendance to know who is coming. In case attendance changes last minute we encourage and recommend you email or text us the night before to let us know you are planning on attending the meet up to meet a certain dog. We recommend you arrive between 8:15-8:30am BEFORE the hike starts OR between 10-10:30am to meet them post hike. If you are looking to adopt, foster or foster 2 adopt a dog we recommend you submit an application online BUT is not needed to just stop by and meet them. After the meet if you are interested in moving fwd you can go home and submit an application to start the process. Pack hikes are our "adoption events" a great way to spend time with prospect doggos and meet them all at the same time. Prospective adopters or fosters are welcome to join the hikes and handle dogs OR just meet them before or after the hike - easy access for those who don't have time to join or are able to physically join the hike.

San Diego Super Adoption Event

This multi rescue group adoption event is presented by North Park Vegan Food Popup created to help rescue dogs and cats find HELP by finding forever or foster homes. About a dozen rescue/shelters will be attending with their rescue dogs and cats looking for families to meet. Stop by and enjoying a fantastic ambiance and enjoy over 60 vendors with delicious food! It’s a WIN win for humans and animals alike. ARWOB will be present with their rescue dogs look for our Animal Rescuers Without Borders canopy and chat with us about our foster programs and adoption process. More importantly stop by to spend some Time with our doggos who would love to meet new friends and enjoy a lap or a mini walk. Meg Dog adoption Event

Looking to adopt or foster a dog? Please, take a look at our animal attendance. Its a special event. All dogs attending have a special adoption event fee of $150! All sterilized, chipped, UTD on vaccines and some depending on medical have had blood work and testing as well. If you choose to take a dog on a 'Foster to adopt' trial the special adoption fee will be honored even if you adopt 1-2 weeks post event. We highly recommend to submit applications online ASAP or no later than 48hrs prior to the adoption event for volunteers to have enough time to contact you BEFORE the event and let you know what items you need to bring to come prepared to the event if you are looking to start fostering or adopting the same day of the event. Submit an ADOPTION application if you have an intent to adopt or foster to adopt trial. Submit a foster application if the intent is SOLELY to foster with no interest to adopt. Foster to adopt trials are perfect to make sure everyone is well matched to each other. Foster to adopt trials are 1-2 weeks long. We do request a minimum of a FULL week commitment and a minimum of 3 day notice for anyone taking a dog home as an adopter, foster or foster to adopt trials to give notice if the doggo needs to come back to the group because things are not working out. However, we know these dogs personalities really well so we will help match the rescue dog to what you are looking for or help answer information if the dog you are interested in is a good potential match or not. You do not need to submit applications before the event as you can do so during the event or even after BUT it sure does help. Once you submit an adoption or foster application you do NOT need to resubmit for others. That application can be used for ANY of the available rescue dogs under our ARWOB care. However, Many of these dogs are fostered with Baja foster parents for lack of San Diego fosters so PLEASE, If you are not ready to adopt or start fostering the SAME day or the next day of the event but until the next weeks to come its completely fine but PLEASE, drive down to at least meet them in person. Submitting an application or just sending us an email helps us know there is someone possibly interested in certain rescue dogs and letting us know you may stop by to meet them. We really hope you make the time to drive down to this event because even if you don't find a match through our rescue group chances are you will through one of the other rescue groups attending.

They are all looking for forever homes and please ask us about our foster to adopt trials too! Note: dogs will NOT be able to go home the day of the event UNLESS we have pre-approved applicants who have submitted applications and gone through the process ahead of the event and all is left to do is for the applicants to stop by and meet them and see if they like to foster or adopt one of the attendees, otherwise just stop by to meet these amazing rescue dogs and if you connect with someone go home and submit the application online to start the process and once approved you can pick up your new family meme her or foster dog. Looking to meet our rescues? Drive on down and stop by to meet them during this adoption event. Check the animal attendance list for the dogs and cats who will be attending. Many are fostered at casa de ARWOB together so we would love to find individual fosters for them OR even better adopters! If you'd like to foster a dog or a cat OR a cat and dog together this is a perfect event to just stop by to spend some time with them and chat with us about our foster or adoption process. You can either contact us to sign up and be part of the walk OR just stop by at the end of the walk to meet them. The Pack walk starts promptly at 930am and is finished by 1030am. The ARWOB team will leave location around 1045am so please make sure you if you don't want to miss the dogs to be at location by 1030am....or 915am if you are planning on joining the dogs on a walk. You can bring the whole family and your family dog as long as dog friendly on leash. See you then!

Looking to meet ANY of the adorable faces who are listed as attending? Then please, come on down to meet them in person. We will have 8-12 dogs present. They are all healthy and vetted. We are NOT in a rush to send our dogs home during the event, we prefer to have families come down and meet them and spend time with them. If you'd like to foster or even better adopt one or two of our sweethearts then you can submit an application online to start the process. Please, DO NOT inquire about adopting from our group if you can't provide landlord approval OR object to home checks. The primary purpose of this event is to have several of our rescues attend and be available for potential interested applicants meet them. If you find someone you are interested in you could adopt the same day or within the week, this is NO RUSH event. So, if you are NOT ready to adopt this weekend but will be in the next week or two then this is the event you want to attend to at least MEET them without pressure. Know someone looking to adopt or foster a dog? Send them our way! even if you do not find a match with ARWOB you are bound to find a great match with the hundreths of other rescue dogs attending wtih other rescues/shelters during this MEGA event. Please, make sure you check the animal attendance again the morning of the event to make sure the dog you are interested is attending. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you can't make the event and would like to meet someone in particular ahead of time we can schedule meets for Friday afternoon BUT we need applications submitted online before Thursday night to have plenty of time to contact you.
