ARWOB will pay for a total of two training classes, so her new family can have a simplier transition with her. Millie is a high-energy dog, so we are looking for an EXPERIENCED AND ENERGETIC dog owner who will exercise her - 2-3 times a day - or will enroll her in an agility course to keep her busy. We will be happy to organize a foster-to-adopt situation. Millie is about 2 years old. This sweet girl came to us from Baja, California. Her adoption fee will be $100.
Millie is a happy go lucky, young and energetic beauty! She is loving, crate trained and dog friendly (Check out her VIDEO below to see her having fun with a friend!). However, she does not do well around cats and we highly recommend a home without any. She does very well with adults and children, plus she's a velcro dog and will always want to be with you while happily receiving all the love she can get. She is 50 pounds and full grown. Not a barker and loves to go out for runs or the dog park. She also loves car rides, but will definitely sit still in the back seat until its over. She walks like a champ on the leash, obediently walking right alongside you. She does need to work on ignoring distractions and other dogs, though. She needs to practice controlling her excitement when seeing another dog. Although she does fine when she passes one dog, she still needs guidance when passing more than one dog.
Millie has no sight in one of her eyes due to an injury she had when she was younger. Because it was not treated sooner, she lost all vision in the eye due to the trauma. She has been to a specialist and they say that although she cannot see out of that eye, she will not require any special medications since it DOES NOT give her any pain. Millie is simply a happy young dog with all the energy that an Aussie mix should have. She would benefit greatly from someone who can give her a nice activity to commit to as this girl is very intelligent and always up for a new adventure.
