May is the best shepherd/something mix! Excellent dog for first time dog owners and families.
UPDATE 9/23 from another short term Foster:
I fostered May for 2-1/2 weeks and she was a joy to have at my house. She loves her crate and sleeps in it all night and when I was away from home and I often found her napping in it when I was home. She is house trained and did not have a single accident. She got along great with my small dogs and was very gentle with them. She's not a barker, and not food aggressive at all. She loves going on walks and she took every one of the dog toys out of the basket to play with. She's a lot of fun and super sweet.

This adorable little shepherd mix is truly one of a kind! She has an amazing, sweet, gentle disposition. May was rescued from the streets of Tijuana in mid May when someone noticed she was pregnant and due any day. Sadly, we didn't have a foster for long term care and we also couldn't leave her in the streets to her luck about to become a mom. We made the decision to take her in and spay her the same day so we could take her into rescue and offer her safety.
May is amazing! She was very shy and slowly opened up to us and trusts us. She was very difficult to approach in the streets and would run away. Now, you call her name, and she runs around seeking attention and love. We are still getting to know her and so far we have nothing but great things to say about this girl. If you would like to foster little May before adopting, we would be happy to do a foster to adopt trial. She seems to do well with dogs (and cats if supervised but has MOT been left unsupervised). She does great in the crate and loves to sun bathe in the sun in the yard as well. She is calm and observant and she is learning to be a dog, learning that the leash is ok and walking inside the home is also ok. Thankfully, she is learning from our other rescues who are guiding her through these new changes for her.
To meet this sweet girl, submit an adoption application online @arwob.org to schedule a meet and greet.
You could also request a foster to adopt trial as this little girl is seeking an adopter or foster.
