To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Frisbee!

Frisbee came to us in early February when we were contacted by a fellow rescuer who had a situation of an elderly owner who suffered from dementia and had to relinquish multiple cats. Several cats were removed from the home, but, sadly, sweet Frisbee was too scared to be approached and rescued. A trap was set in the home and pretty quickly he was trapped and taken into rescue. We have realized Frisbee is a very mellow, gentle soul who is your typical 'big scaredy cat'. He seeks and loves to be petted. He is shy and nervous and is not the most people oriented kitty. Because of this, he would do well in a home which is experienced in cat ownership in order to continue to help him through his trauma of being ignored and not properly socialized. When you start petting Frisbee, he doesn't melt in your hand, however, he requires trust and will enable him to trust certain people. If you would like to stop by and meet Frisbee, he is now located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where volunteers will continue to work with him and he would love for you to stop by and meet him.

It would be great to find a foster home for him who will help him through this journey of learning to trust and being loved.
