To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Slate is an adorable Pit/lab/collie mix who was rescued from the streets of Ensenada when an indie rescuer found a very emaciated and malnourished pup who was weak and sun bathing by the sidewalk. She took him home around 2/8 and around 2/16 he came down with Parvo. He was hospitalized and he is a parvo survivor, doing amazing! He will likely be a large breed in the 50-70lb range when full grown. 

He is a sweet little guy who is good with cats, dog and people. He was fostered in Baja and is now in San Diego ,but is not getting sterilzied until mid April, at which point he can be adopted. We would love to have him in a foster to adopt home until that surgery day and can then finalize his adoption. To meet him, please submit a dog adoption application online at arwob.org
