UPDATE 10-11-20:  Here is what Suzie's foster mom Amber has to say about her:

"Suzie loves car rides, lays down on the seat. Good on the leash doesn’t react to other dogs. Off the leash with dogs, she doesn’t like them getting in her space but I’m sure once she gets to know them she’d love to run around the backyard and play with them like she does with us. She’s good with men, children and new people. No accidents in crate, ONE accident in the house after the month we’ve had her. She doesn’t bark or whine. She’s shy at first but after a couple days her crazy sweet personality comes out. She loves running around the backyard and going for walks. She also loves to snuggle on the couch. She’s okay with cats and rabbits but I would not leave unsupervised."

ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:

Meet Suzie!

Suzie is an adorable small terrier, who is a young adult pup.  We estimate that she is between 1-2 years old and she is currently 14 pounds.  We think she will likely gain 1-2 pounds and will remain under 20 pounds.

Suzie was rescued from the streets of Tijuana when she was found chained to a pole in the street.  The poor little girl had clearly been cared for, as she was clean and very sweet.  We think she was probably left by someone who could not longer care for her, but we will never know her true story.  What we do know is she is super sweet, although she can be a bit weary when she first meets new people.  Usually after a few minutes, she warms up nicely and wags her happy tail!  She is a very docile little dog and would likely be great around kids.  She is also dog friendly and seems to like all dogs.  We do not know how she would be around cats, but our guess is she would be friendly toward them.

Suzie is crate trained, but we think she is likely not house trained yet, so her perfect adopter would need to be comfortable potentially house training her.

Suzie is a very sweet and friendly girl, who will certainly be a great new family member!  If you would like to meet and adopt this adorable little lady, please submit a dog adoption application online at arwob.org
