Meet the 7!
In late April, we were notified of a carton box with kittens inside which were vocal and covered in their own soil and just starving. Thankfully, we were able to coordinate transport. Upon their arrival, we assessed they were young. approx. 4 weeks old and so hungry most figured out how to eat wet food right away. 4 babies were bigger by a couple of grams and 3 were significantly smaller.
4 kitts were moved to a foster family in Alpine who nursed them back to health and made sure they thrived and 3 kitts stayed together (the smallest which would be the noodle, pasta and rigatoni) After being in foster care for 8 weeks, they are healthy, up to date on medical, and NOW ready for adoption!
Pasta and Rigatoni are excellent siblings and we will consider them bonded as they are a great pair.
They are all sweet, friendly and good with dogs, cats and likely kids.
Noodles was the smallest of the 7 when she arrived 5/5/21. She also had a gash/wound on her front under arm that needed some bandaging to heal and pain meds. This may be the reason that out of the 7 kittens, she is the most introverted and not a fan of being picked up. Her foster has been working with her and although she doesn't scream bloody murder anymore, she is a bit "Awkward". She is social in the fact she is ok being around people, petted, being approached, and plays around, but the family who adopts her should be comfortable continuing to work with her. She is a very sweet soul and in late June she also had an eye injury.. likely from her siblings, Rigatoni or Pasta, scratching her eye so she needed eye meds and now she is doing great. She would do great in a home with another cat friend, adult cats seem to really like her 'independence' giving them time to adjust to kitten energy. It would be fantastic if she was adopted along with Rigatoni and Pasta, as well as a trio! Noodles LOVES to jump high for feather wands, and she can play all day long :)
Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.
IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
Ideally, they would be adopted with a sibling or another kitten. Applicants could mix and match a friend to adopt together, BUT the important factor to adopt kittens is that kittens are adopted either with a sibling, a friend, or into a home with other feline friends because kittens are very cat oriented and can get lonely.
