Meet Banshee and Basha!
Here is what Basha's foster family has to say about her:
"Basha’s sweet, mild personality compliments her sister, Banshee. She is more cautious, but has so much love to give. She loves small children, other dogs, and loves to play with squeaky stuffed animals. She explores with her sister and never really leaves her side. She has very soft fur and such big floppy ears. She is the most adorable puppy! Basha would be a cuddly companion for any family that will give her all the love she deserves."
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
Banshee and Basha are 2 adorable sisters, who were rescued from a family in Ensenada, Mexico. They have some German Shepherd Dog breed and we believe dad is the neighbor’s Great Dane. Sadly, by the time the family contacted us for help with the puppies, they had given most of them away. We were able to intercept these 2 little ladies in order to make sure at least these 2 girls will be sterilized and also getting mom sterilized (we were unable to convince the neighbor to neuter their Great Dane).
Currently the pups have had 2 sets of vaccines and adoptive families will need to continue with their family veterinarian to continue the puppy vaccine series. They are big girls and we believe they will be in the 70-100 pound range when full grown (more likely in the 80-90 pound range), so PLEASE only apply to adopt if you understand XL large breeds and have approval from your landlord for the size and breed. These pups are adorable both physically and behaviorally. They are great with dogs, cats, and kids. They are currently being fostered in Alpine with a foster family who has dogs and 2 little human foster brothers in the 7-9 year age range. The pups will need typical dog training and house training and currently are being crate trained.
Banshee, Basha and Molly are all fostered together. Please submit an application to adopt online and we will call or email you to follow up either the same day or within 72hrs.
These pups can meet potential adopters as soon as 8/5/21. If all goes well with their meet and greet, they can potentially go home that SAME DAY. However, the pups will be sterilized in the 92109 area of San Diego on Thursday, October 7, 2021. The spay surgery is already included in their adoption fee. This means priority will given to local area applicants. This will ensure they are able to take the pup to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick them up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until their sterilization surgery has been completed to see if they are still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
