Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Meet Yogi!

Yogi was rescued early September along with his sister Boo Boo (just adopted) and their Mama Bear, who's a medium 35-40 lb shepherd mix breed (adopted by her rescuer).

Yogi was only 6-8 weeks and less than 5 lbs when rescued as of 11/15/22. He is now 22 pounds and hefty, but doesn't look as big as he weighs! LOL!

He is fostered in an apartment setting in down town San Diego, so you may have seen him at local breweries hanging out. He is an amazing loving and very smart pupper deserving of the best family.

He is great with humans of all ages and sexes, as well as all cats and dogs. He knows how to sit and has excellent paying attention manners. He is crate and house trained with his foster family, a young couple who does not have other pets currently, but Yogi grew up around cats and dogs. He currently plays and hangs around other dogs, like the ARWOB rescues and at dog parks. Yogi loves to play with other dogs. He could use dog training classes and also some playing manners with certain dogs. There's a 20% chance he over does play time, which means he and the other dog he's playing with becomes rowdy with each other like kids when they are tired and need nappy nap time! Ha ha ha!

Yogi is currently fostered as an only dog so he can be an only pet in the home. However, he would love another pet friend in the home, or an adopter who will keep him socialized and entertained, and most of all HAPPY around other dogs for playtimes, like dog parks or get togethers, etc.

This healthy boy is just amazing and he is perfect for anyone seeking to dress up their dog because he is a pro and never tries to take off his customs! LOL!

His foster mom and dad have this to say as of 11/17/22:

"Yogi is a loving and energetic, quirky pup! He loves to play with his chew toys and has started to learn to play fetch. He is INCREDIBLY smart and a fast learner — he has learned most of his tricks within minutes. He is currently using pee pads but is also undergoing potty training.

He is highly energetic and will get bursts of energy in which he loves to run around the house. He is also a cuddle bug and loves to keep you company during a nap. He LOVES everyone and gets excited when he sees people — he wants to say hi to everyone he sees. Yogi is great with everyone (dogs, people, children, etc.). Always wants to play with every dog that he sees!"
