Meet Carlie!
If you are looking to adopt or foster an underdog this little sweetheart would be the one.
Carlie has a hard time trusting people. At adoption events she shows shy and scared but within 30min she realizes she is ok and starts opening up. Its evident by seeing all the pictures and videos we have on her biography, she LOVES loves LOVES to be petted and loved. Especially to the humans who care for her and who know her. She is not bound to be the dog that greets everyone with a happy waggy tail but the one who cowards and shys away or just stands still hoping the 'stranger' passess by fast. She is a true 'stranger danger' kinda a gal who needs to know oyu before she trusts you. As of 7/5/24 she is pretty full grown in the low 30 pounds. What you see on the pictures and videos is what you get,, a total sweetheart!
Once she trusts you, you will have a loyal and loving best friend for life. She gives the sweetest kisses and the sweetest cuddles, just loves to be petted and you'd think she is a small breed the way she enjoys that so much. She ADORES all dogs, she has never had an issue with any dog and even alpha personality dogs seem to accept her. Currently her best friend is Pearl who is also fostered together and also available for adoption.
Carlie loves attention from children but is intimidated from fast acting and loud kiddos when she first meets them, she is fine with 1-2 kids in the home when she knows they are her 'family' and can run around together and trust to be safe with them. She is very food oriented which is fantastic as it will help adopters with puppy training 101 classess.
Carlie is crate trained. does well in car rides and at shorter than knee height not a very strong leash puller. Would you like to foster this girl to get to know her before you adopt her? Please submit an application online at ARWOB.org
