To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Billy is an adorable, sweet-natured, handsome, and young Cattle Dog mix who we believe is about 9-10 months old. He has all his adult teeth which is great news for potential adopters as he is done teething! As of 12/23/10 he is full grown at 35 pounds and is probably about knee high. He looks like a larger breed but really he is perfectly sized - not too big, not too small. He would do very nicely in an apartment setting or even on a ranch!

Billy has a fantastic personality! He can be a bit of a couch potato and has such a happy and easy-going personality. Since he is such a mellow dog, he might not need another companion to wear him out, however, if he does go to another home as the only dog, he should have regular meetings with his canine friends when his human goes to places where he can mingle with them (i.e. coffee shops, doggy parks, etc.)

He loves to play with other dogs, but at the same time he loves to be next to people. He would be great for a family with children to keep him company and entertained, who is active, or has a large yard for him to run around as he LOVES the outdoors. Billy is a versatile dog and while he definitely has the spirit to dedicate himself to energetic activities, he will sleep all day if you let him. Since he can be somewhat of a hermit if you allow him to, he will likely do well in an apartment setting, however, we would prefer that he goes to a home with a yard, maybe even with another companion, as he is a young, healthy dog. Plus most dogs are happier with space to run around in with a friend in their pack.

He is great around large and small dogs, good on the leash, and crate trained. He is a little unsure as to if he can trust felines or not but feel free to watch a video of him with one of our kitties to see for yourself. If you are looking for a medium-sized new friend and are looking for a new family member who will LOVE to love you and will be an excellent new companion (and very handsome at that), please take the time to fill an adoption application for him and will contact you within 24 hrs.
