To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Merlot is a handsome and small 13 pound mix who arrived at the local shelter as a stray and after staying there for a while without having his previous family come find him we were glad to bail him out and help him find a new loving forever home. Merlot came in severely matted and dirty so we decided to give him a 'summer' hair cut a little early and you know what, he looks pretty darn cute! Just look at that face.

Merlot is a short legged little guy who Will require grooming when his hair/coat starts to grow (about every 3 months). His foster mom says "He is a great poodle! he is quiet and gentle inside the house and will run around the yard playing with toys by himself or another foster dog if they want to join in the fun". Merlot is a social dog with people and dogs, enjoys his car rides, dog park outings, but can also be left home alone while his people go to work. He is ideal for an appt. setting with someone who has a normal work schedule or even a busy family who has children or other dogs in the homes.

He is great around cats and dogs, ideally a home with other pets to keep him company would be his perfect home but really someone to love him and care for him forever is all we ask for him. Not a barker, crate trained, loves his plush/squeaky toys, social.
