To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Raffi is a friendly 2-year-old Spaniel/Lab/Retriever mix. He showed up one day at our Sanctuary in Mexico knowing that there was food and security, something he wasn't getting off the streets. When we took him in, he was very thin and alone, so our volunteers started feeding him right away. This was at the end of August and he now is staying in a foster home in San Diego. Raffi is a gentle boy who loves interacting with people. He's not a barker and gets long great with dogs. He is ok with cats and would be a great family dog. Full grown at knee high and 40 pounds with a body of a retriever and face/coat of a spaniel.

Rafael can jump 3-4 feet fence no problem so we are looking for a 6ft requirement fence, all fenced in yard. He is mellow yet active. Inside the house he is mellow and likes to observe and explore but is not too energetic. He would be a great walking partner and would love to go on hikes. Also he is great for another dog companion.
