To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Skittles! This handsome kitten, who is going into his teenage years, is an amazing and handsome boy! He was rescued along with his sister, Sour Patch, who is a little petite and more of a Torbie (tabby with some orange coloring). This summer 2012 as small kittens, Skittles and Sour Patch were saved from a life of dumpster-diving. They were living off a diet of bean can leftovers from the Marine base dumpsters. They were missing hair from skin mites, were flea infested and malnourished. They were taken in by the Mesa College Animal Health Technology Program and are now up-to-date on all of their vaccinations, have been checked for worms and have been spayed or neutered. They are looking for a good home! They would love to stay together, if at all possible, or be adopted into a home that already has other feline friends as they love their cat friends.

They are great together so if you are looking for 2 kitty friends, please think of these! They are very well-behaved and love to play. Skittles is more of a lap cat while Sour Patch loves to investigate. Both will 'purr' non-stop once you start petting them! Skittles will first hiss when approached as his inner- "wildchild-street boy" mentality kicks in but as soon as you pet him he melts in your hands. They are UTD on all, extremely healthy and so good looking!
