Meet Peaches! Peaches is currently a 17lb., 6-7 month old puppy who has long legs and an amazing curly coat. She will likely grow to be around 30lbs, so medium-sized. She really looks like a miniature Labradoodle but that's for the adopter to decide. :) She is such a SWEET girl! She was rescued from a family in Ensenada, Mexico who owner her mother (a small breed French poodle) and after an 'accidental' pregnancy decided to keep 2 pups - a male and female (Peaches). Unfortunately, the family lived in a very small apartment with NO management and they opted for leaving both pups tied out of their apartment complex, spending minimal time with them and only coming out occasionally to greet them. This is a very common thing in which many people don't see anything wrong with. One of our volunteers was able to talk them into relinquishing Peaches and as soon as we have a foster available we will return for the identical brother. The family has accepted ARWOB's offer to pay for the spay of their dog (Peaches' mother) to prevent future 'accidental' pregnancies.
Knowing that Peaches had been tied out for months outside the apartment under some stairs we thought she was going to be a wild spastic and barky little girl but she has surprised us! She is such a sweet, loving, happy and well behaved little pup. She is very wiggly and always so happy to be loved on. She doesn't really bark, or whimper and she is happy to be left outside in the yard while her foster mom goes to work. She isn't too young to be left in the house unsupervised and at times enjoys being outside with her foster siblings. She sleeps inside in a crate and during the day comes and goes as she pleases. She is SO CUTE! Will need an adopter who understands she has grooming requirements has a Poodle. We are also searching for an adopter who has time for a puppy, meaning they will take her obedience classes since being in a home/family setting is all new to her and she would benefit from learning.
