Mellie's Story:
Mellie's Story:
Mellie was "relinquised" by a man who said he had rescued her but was moving away and could not keep her. She was in bad shape with foxtails all over her body. Five foxtails were found inside her ears upon closer inspection. After a few days under the care of a loving foster mom, a woman showed up and claimed Mellie as her pet. A month went by and Mellie was found on the street by her foster mom who immediately took her to her house, gave her antibiotics and lots of good food and rest.
Mellie's Temperament:
Mellie loves human company and is a little love bug who likes to be pet and hugged. She is sweet and charming. She is, however, a little girl who prefers to be left alone by other dogs. She is not agressive, she simply enjoys "me time" and human companionship better than anything else so she would be a wonderful dog for a single dog family,
