To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Matilda!

Matilda nicknamed "Milly" by her foster mom, came in to a local animal shelter early August as a potential Hit By car trauma. She had a fractured hind leg. Matilda did have an orthopedic surgery in one of her hind legs back in the summer of 2013 and she is going well. She is a very active teenager. Who knows the crate very well because of her rest post-op so although she is active she also does very well in the crate to rest.

Matilda will be an amazing companion for any household with room for an energetic young girl but she will not be a running partner although she loves to run and jump (failry high) around the yard and romping around with her dog friends.
Matilda has all the cattle dog insticnts and will do very well with an owner who can keep up with her mentail stimulation, she is VERY smart and learns quickly.
