One of our rescuers noticed this stray little dog near her house in late July and began leaving food out for him. He would be gone for days at a time, but would always eventually return for a meal. As first our rescuer was unable to get close enough to bring him inside, but he became more comfortable with her over time and is now very content living in the safety and comfort of her home and fenced yard.
Lucas is being fostered in a home where he has the company of another dog. He prefers dogs and people. Since he is an adult dog accustomed to living on the streets, he requires an a home with a secure fenced yard as he will have no hesitation to jump up to a 4 foot fence!. He is the perfect size dog for condo or apartment living but enjoys the outdoors so he would enjoy walks and exploring around He is being crate trained and learning to walk on a leash.
