Laverne is a very cute, loving and VERY smart little pup who was not able to find a home before Xmas arrived BUT we are still hopeful she will find a home before the 2014 year arrives and she will hopefully have a wonderful start of the year with a family to call her own.
Laverne is the last pups remaining of her siblings. She is 4mo and about 15 pounds We beleive she will be a 35-45 pound girl as she has been with the group for a couple of months and hasn't grown much. She looks like a retriever/black lab/shep mix. Short coat. Mostly black and a semi docked tail which we believe she was born like that. She LOVES to play with dogs, the bigger the better as she loves to play with the big dog group and plays also very nicely with the little ones.
She is active like all puppies and is completely UTD on all medical and healthy ready for adoption.
She does well on car rides. She is crate trained. Walks well on the leash and best of all she LOVES children and is very safe around cats.
Laverne will need an adopter who will keep up with all the typical puppy stages like teething, house training (although she is almost there) and most importantly energy/activity needs. She would thrive in a home with a yard and/or other dogs or just simply taken to doggy day care, dog parks, walks or runs and most of all Lots and lots of cuddle time in the sofa.
If you are looking to adopt a pup and/or a teenager maybe you would like to adopt 2 friends?! Laverne and her "foster brother" bennett look very much alike except Bennett is a 10 mo old teen who is almost all grown up. A very loving and cute duo these two are!
