To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Bonita!

Bonita is a very sweet, cuddly, and loving boxer. Although she came to us as an emaciated dog at only 30 pounds, after 3-4 months of excellent care she became a happy and healthy dog. She has no health issues, does not need meds and does not require a special diet.

Bonita has been living in a foster home since September where she has been socialized and cared for the way she deserves. She has been with her current foster family since December, living with 2 cats and 5 dogs (both small and large). Although she gets along with both dogs and cats, she prefers the company of humans -- she loves to have her BELLY rubbed and would be a great dog for a family with children. Because she is such a well rounded sweetheart, she will make an excellent companion!

Bonita is fully grown at 55 pounds and she is both house and crate trained, loves to ride in the car, and does very well on walks while on a leash. She even loves to go camping and enjoys the beach! She is not a big barker, but she will let you know if she hears strangers. She is definitely an alpha dog, so when she meets a new dog (either on or off leash), she needs to be introduced properly and corrected since she can be a little bossy -- however, she does not show any leash reactivity.
