Meet Julio!
He was found on a river bank with his sister in Baja, Mexico by a friend of our rescuer. His sister is living with someone else, but Julio needs more medical care so we took him into our rescue system. Julio has been in a short-term foster and he lives both indoors and outdoors with all their dogs. Julio is crate and leash-trained, knows a few basic commands, sleeps indoors, and appears to be house-broken. He is a little on the shy side at first, but he is otherwise good with people, other dogs, and even cats.
His new foster family has this to say about this sweet boy: "He gets along with other dogs or at least their presence doesn't disturb him. He doesn't bark (until left alone... when leaving for work this morning, there was some separation barking going on). He plays very well on his own. He was perfect in his crate overnight- completely quiet. He is good on the leash when jogging, but if given the chance will stop and smell every scent on the sidewalk. While he likes beach sand, he had absolutely no interest in walking near the water... also has a fear of ominous shapes such as wheelbarrows and trashcans.
