To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Mouse!

He is one of three kitties who were rescued from the Humane Society of El Centro where there is limited space.

If you are looking for the epitome of a sweetheart, then this boy is THE ONE for you!
He is currently in a foster home where he has stolen the family's heart and this is what his foster mom has to say about him:

"Mouse is a great cat! He loves to be with his people.
He will follow you anywhere and want hugs when you get there. :-)
He listens to the word "no" when thinking about jumping onto tables or such.

He would be a great companion for someone at home a lot and wants a cat who loves to be held, although probably wouldn't be happy if he were alone many hours a day unless he had a buddy to play and cuddle up with.

Probably wouldn't be good if people were not home for many hours a day.

Sleeps on our bed.

His fur is very soft and cuddly, just like he is.

Yes, he likes to be a permanent muffler (scarf) on your neck if you let him. Ha!

He likes to "talk" too.

He really does worry (meows loudy) if he can't find us in the house but is SO happy when he does! So maybe he needs to be with another cat in the house. (

Also is very social to other people when they come to our house.

Oh, did I mention that Mouse is a KEEPER!

Wow! If we were in town more than we are, we would adopt him today!!

He's gradually learning to play. likes fuzzy things, but not balls.

Is a picky eater but treats and canned food motivate him.:-)

He has learned to scratch his claws on the rope scratching post so hasn't bothered anything else.

Seems in perfect health.... no watery eyes or sneezes. Uses litter box well.

Pretty much just an all around Purrfect Cat!!"

Mouse gets along well with everyone....adults, children and cats. He has not been tested around dogs, so we do not know about dogs. He is looking for that special home where someone is there with him most of the time or in one where he can have a buddy....another kitty who is already in the home or please consider adopting a buddy, as well, so they can play and cuddle during the day when you are not at home and double your pleasure when you are home!
