To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Mandie

We received a wonderful "pupdate" about Maddie (fka Mandie), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020. She is living her best life with her adoptive mom and here is what she has to say about her:

"Mandie is now Maddie & is doing fabulous. We did have some separation anxiety at first but with lots of play dates, doggy daycare, dog parks she flourished. She loves other dogs & people & I just realized she needs almost daily dog interaction to keep her healthy & happy. Maddie has settled out at a perfect 40lbs & has also bonded with her fur cat sister Peggy. Of course Peggy is only okay with Maddie when she is calm. Here are some pics of Maddie on some of her adventures & with her doggie friends. Thank You so much for allowing me to adopt this beautiful girl! She has brought so much joy into my world!"

Moca

Check out this nice "pupdate" we received about Lucy (fka Moca), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020.

"We love Mocha. We changed your name to Lucy because she’s a redheaded troublemaker but very smart. We have taken her to dog training and she graduated with honors. We’ve also been doing agility training with her. Thank you so much for all you do to help animals find forever homes."

Doogie

We received a spectacular "pupdate" about Charlie (fka Doogie), who was adopted from ARWOB in October 2013!  Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him.

"We adopted Charlie from you over six years ago, and are so thankful that he is in our family. He is the sweetest, most gentle, and goofy dog. He is up for any adventure, loves his golden retriever sister, driving in the car, playing in the snow, hiking, and snuggling on our laps even though he is now 130 pounds! He truly is the heart of our home. Thank you for all that you do to save animals. Our family would not be the same without Charlie."

Amenadiel

We received an awesome "pupdate" about Peri-peri (fka Amenadiel), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020.  Here is what his family has to say about him:

"I have attached a few photos of Amenadiel--now Peri (full name Peri-peri after the South African hot sauce). We celebrated his 1st birthday (approx) in January (there are before and after photos of his birthday alien toy) and he finished beginner training class and one of all of us at the beach. He grew a lot taller and more than doubled in weight. He is still super cute. Our older dog (almost 16!) died recently and we were so grateful for the levity and joy that Peri provides. We love him!"

Felipe

We received another great progress report for Felipe, who was adopted from ARWOB in January 2021. Here is what his family has to say about him:

"He found his favorite spot on the deck in the sun and warm concrete. His second favorite spot to chill is on the couch, usually snuggled up to one of us. He has not had any accidents in the house a couple of weeks and sleeps all night quietly in his crate. We have our second training with behaviorist coming up. He recommended every 3-4 weeks. Felipe still has moments when he gets strong willed and determined (not always in a positive way), but we can usually get him out of that space but will continue to train in this area. He can sit and lay on command and even wait (though sometimes he starts to drool) to get command before he eats his food. He is loved much and blended well into the family."
