Dottie (fka Lucy) was adopted in October 2023. She is enjoying her new family and gets to take long daily walks too! Here is what her adoptive mom had to say:
"We just finished puppy training at PetSmart. She is now Dottie, and knows to sit, down and come. She has a friend 2 doors down that is 2 yrs old and they have play time weekly. No accidents in the house, but we are still working on jumping. We are very happy. We go for a lot of walks, average 4 miles most days. I had her DNA tested: 33% Chihuahua. LOL!"
Scout was adopted in October 2023. Her adoptive family sent this cute photo letting us know that she is doing well and gets along with her canine sibling Loke.
We received the sweetest “pupdate” about Mama Billie (mama to Pinky & The Brain ) who was adopted in October 2023. We could not be happier for her! The family met her during the October Mega Adoption event hosted by San Diego Animal Support Foundation and picked her up a week later once the process was finalized. Here is what her adoptive family had to say about Billie, who is now known as Millie:
“Just a big fat thank you for Billie, what a wonderful little girl. We sent your organization some gently used leashes and a couple of harnesses plus the ones you lent us when we took Billie home. She, is very smart, she is house trained, and comes tells me when she needs to go out. She now walks very well on a leash, and sits when I stop. She has learned a few hand signals, sit down, and loves our two cats. She loves chasing them until they have had enough, then she learns to back away real quick, normally running for one of our laps. She really loves her stuffed animal, and the winner...her balls. We did also take her to the veterinarian and came away with the same thing as your veterinarian, about two years old and very healthy, and on the last note....her hair is really growing and looking great. I gave her a bath the other day, she was really good. We can't thank you enough, she has made this a happy home. Thank you for...Billie....now known as Millie, a real sweetheart.”
Pearl (fka Merlie) was adopted in November 2023 and she is loving life with her new family. Her adoptive mom sent this wonderful "pupdate" and all we can say is, sometimes foster failing is actually a good thing!
"Everything is going great with Merlie (now Pearl). She is the perfect pup for us and has settled in nicely. She's never had an accident in the house, doesn't bark without reason, hasn't torn up anything... she is perfect! She has let the local squirrels know she's in charge now and they are not welcome. This "foster fail" is truly a success story. Happy new year and thanks to all at ARWOB!"
Oreo (fka Doc) was adopted in November 2023 and he's living the good life! His adopted family shared this wonderful "pupdate" about him: "Things are going very well with Oreo (we changed his name, he didn't seem like a Doc), he's adapted to his new home and new name very well. We have done some training with him he understands some basic commands and he has almost no problems on walks. He's a very loving and sweet dog, he took to our first dog pretty well and they love to play together all the time. He still has a few issues (nothing major) that we hope to keep working on but overall he's been great. I've attached a photo of the two of them for you to share. Thank you again for letting us invite this wonderful dog into our home."
