To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Betty Boop! Sweet little Betty Boop is an adorable lab mix that will just melt your heart. She came to ARWOB as a stray from Ensenada Mexico and we immediately brought her in for surgery for an old eye injury that had to be resolved right away. Unfortunately, her eye was too damaged and had to be removed, but that doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. She is a wonderful little puppy who is happy-go-lucky and full of life!

This is what her foster family has to say about her: “Betty Boop is a lively puppy that will brighten your life. She loves to play with her foster sister-dog on a daily basis and runs around the yard with my two year old nephew who visits often. Like any puppy, she loves attention and loves to play but also understands when it is time for bed and sleeps well in a crate overnight (I do take her out to relieve herself at the 5 hour mark). She shares toys and dishes well and is doing well with basic commands like sit and stay. She is a great puppy and I know that she will make any family happy. Her one eyed situation is really not a big deal at all, aside from joking that she's a pirate, just don't toss her a treat and that's about the only difference!”
