To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Binkie....this tiny little guy will absolutely steal your heart!

Binkie was exited from the South County Animal Control Shelter at only 2 weeks old and he was too young to survive the shelter environment. He was taken into a home with a foster who has kept a vigilant eye on him and he has done great! He lives in an apt living in Down town San Diego. Binkie has had a lot of one on one attention and will love to be loved on ALL day if possible, but he LOVES to play!

Now that he is old enough he was tested and we found that he is FIV + (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) also called "Kitty Aids". His disease is NOT transmissible to humans or other species, as a matter of fact, it can ONLY be transmitted to another cat via blood ei Cat bites/ Cat scratch.

FIV + Kitties CAN and DO live a long NORMAL lives... granted their immune system can be weak compared to others but the ideal home for him would be a family who is looking to have ONLY one cat or someone who has other FIV + kitties @ home. He is medically and behaviorally a GREAT KITTEN, a great little social, playful loving companion and we would love your help to see that he receives a HAPPY ending to his story.

Adopters should NOT be scared of FIV and Binkie's status and know that most FIV + kitties live a healthy & normal life up until their 15-18yrs of life. So, please, do NOT let this deter you from adopting an FIV + Feline Friend.

ARWOB is WAIVING his adoption fee and since Binkie only has his first set of vaccinations, we will also sponsor his full set of Kitten vaccinations and deworming series along with his yearly vaccination boosters for the next 5 years!
