To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Bob

We received another "pupdate" about one of the ARWOB alumni. Bob was adopted in May of last year (2020) and here is what his adoptive dad had to say:

"Bob is doing just fine. He is happy healthy and enjoying his new home. He is very energetic, loves running free at dog beach and playing with other Dawgs. He's 45 lbs and still wants to wander the street looking for food. Been working with him on healing and come especially when distracted when playing with other Dawgs."

Benita

We received a nice "pupdate" about Lilly (fka Benita), who was adopted from ARWOB in March 2021.  Here is what her adoptive mom has to say about her:

"Benita now named Lilly is doing very well. She potties outside or on puppy pads. She understands "no" & "stay" now. We still need to teach her sit, come, heel.  She eats better and she has gained weight. It is such a welcome relief to see her get healthier.  She is a cuddle bug and I am her favorite. She is my shadow. She is warming up to my husband & son gradually.  She runs super fast in a playful way when she greets us.  We love her & are very happy to have her in the family."

Barry

We received this sweet "pupdate" about Rosie (fka Barry), who was adopted from ARWOB in November 2020.  Here is what her mom has to say about her:

"I just wanted to give you an update on Rosie (fka Barry)!! It’s been just under 3 months since I adopted my Rosie and I absolutely love her. She is the funniest puppy, she loves her sister Dasie, her smile makes everyone laugh..and she smiles often, she loves playing with toys that are almost the same size as her and dog beach is her favorite place to be! Rosie has brought so much joy into my life, I just can’t thank you enough for letting her be mine!"

Brain

We received this fantastic "pupdate" about Bruno (fka Brain), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020.  He has won the jackpot with his new family!  Here is what his adoptive mom has to say:

"Brain was renamed by his foster mom and was called Bruno when we met him. We fell in love immediately with this spunky little boy. Bruno was 10 weeks when we adopted him in April 2020 and will be 1 year old on Monday, 2/1! We are having a party with his neighborhood friends; Riley, Jakey, Shadow, Mookie, Teddy, Jack and Butter. Bruno is pure joy! He is sweet, stubborn, energetic and very loving. We call him Mr. Happy Pants and he has the best run/hop you’ve ever seen. Bruno is the best! We are so lucky we found him and love ARWOB. In fact, if you go to Smile Amazon, you can choose ARWOB as the place you want your donation (via Amazon) to go. Thank you for Bruno! We love this little guy so much!"

Barbie mom

We received an update about Elsie (fka Barbie Mom), who was adopted from ARWOB in April 2020.  Here is what her adoptive mom had to say:

"Barbie Mom has been renamed to Elsie. She loves to spend her time sunbathing and chasing her favorite toy, a shiny red string. Other favorite toys are ping pong balls, packing paper and toilet paper rolls. She loves company and will find the perfect perch so you are always within her sight. In the mornings, a good massage of ruffling her fur will elicit happy purrs. Watch out for laying on the floor because Elsie's favorite thing is to cuddle your head, get tangled in your hair, then fall fast asleep leaving you trapped on the floor. Oddly Elsie dislikes deep handsome voices and the sound of the AC being on. While on the other hand she loves window watching, is friendly with female strangers, and is not afraid of the roomba. When we first got Elsie, she had just finished nursing her litter and undergone getting spayed. Now at a healthy 10 pounds, Elsie favors seafood flavors and never attempts to sneak at human food anymore. She quickly learned not to scratch the couch or be on the kitchen counter and is a very polite and smart kitty. We love Elsie and so thankful to have her in our lives."
